Duration of Coverage

This warranty provides coverage for the rebuilt powerhead remanufactured by 101 Marine LLC. This is from the time of purchase of the motor. The repair or replacement parts or the performance of service does not extend the life of this warranty beyond its original expiration date. Unexpired warranty coverage can not be transferred to or from another customer.

101 Marine & Purchaser's Responsibility

Purchaser's Responsibility:

Perform all regular maintenance, maintain records of service and maintenance performed on motor rebuilt by 101 Marine. 101 Marine reserves the right to make warranty coverage contingent upon proof of proper maintenance.

101 Marine's Responsibility:

101 Marine's obligation under this warranty is limited to, repairing a defective part, replacing such part or parts with new or certified remanufactured parts, or refunding the purchase price of the product. 101 Marine reserves the right to improve or modify the product without assuming the obligation to modify parts previously manufactured.

How to obtain warranty coverage

Warranty claims must be made through 101 Marine LLC. The customer must provide 101 Marine LLC with a reasonable opportunity to repair and reasonable access to the product for warranty service. Warranty claims shall be made by delivering the product for inspection to 101 Marine LLC to service the product. If the purchaser cannot deliver the product to 101 Marine then written notice must be given. 101 Marine will then authorize an approved shop to inspect the product. The customer may then arrange for the inspection of the product with the approval of 101 Marine. 101 Marine has the right to refuse inspection of the product to any shop deemed unqualified for this inspection. The customer will be responsible for all related transportation charges and or travel time. If the service provided is not covered by this warranty it is the customer's responsibility to pay for all related labor and material and any other expenses associated with that service.

What is covered

Remanufactured powerheads by 101 Marine LLC are warrantied for quality workmanship during the warranty period.

What is not covered

Routine maintenance items or adjustments
Normal wear and tear
Faded paint
Jet pump impellers or liners
Lower unit damages
Bearings with water damage resulting from improper maintenance
Cost of repairs performed outside of normal working hours
Abuse, abnormal use, neglect, accident, submersion, striking a submerged object, improper service, alteration, or removal of parts.
Use of a propeller or gear ratio that does not allow the engine to run at its recommended RPM range.
Improper installation, or mounting the engine too high on the transom.
Operation with fuels, oils, or lubricants that are not suitable for use with the product.
Lost or stolen parts
Water entering the engine through the fuel intake, air intake, or exhaust system; insufficient cooling water caused by blockage of the cooling system by a foreign body, running the engine out of water or running the boat with the engine/drive trimmed out too far.

Termination of Coverage

Aftermarket modifications, modifying or altering the engine from its state of purchase.
Continuing to run the motor with warning alarm
Repossessed from another retail customer or retailer
Use of the product for racing or other competitive activity, at any point.
Expenses related to haul-out, launch towing, storage, telephone, rental inconvenience, slip fees, insurance coverage, loan payments, loss of time, loss of income, or any other type of incidental or consequential damages are not covered by this warranty. Expenses associated with the removal or replacement of boat partitions or other material to gain access to the Product are not covered by the warranty.
